Tired of Warped, Termite-Eaten Wooden Windows?

In older homes across Firozabad, Agra, and Shikohabad, wooden window frames are a chronic headache. After decades of monsoon exposure, frames swell and stick tight; in dry summers, they shrink and rattle in the wind; and subterranean termites quietly devour structural jambs from the inside out. Repainting every two years only masks the decay.

Many homeowners hesitate to replace old windows because they fear massive masonry demolition, cracked plaster, and weeks of dust. Fortunately, with KST India's professional retrofitting methodology, replacing old windows is quick, clean, and requires zero plaster demolition.

The 5-Step Replacement Workflow

Step 1: On-Site Laser Measurement & Survey

A KST India senior engineer visits your residence with precision laser distance meters. We measure opening diagonals, check for wall plumb alignment, and evaluate whether your existing wooden sub-frame should be completely removed or covered with a custom UPVC retrofit surround. We also demonstrate profile colors (Classic White, Walnut, Golden Oak) to match your interior flooring.

Step 2: Custom Factory Fabrication in Firozabad

Each window is custom-manufactured at our local facility to exact millimeter dimensions. Unlike standard off-the-shelf windows that force workers to chisel your brick walls, our windows fit your openings like hand in glove. Glass units are sealed, hardware is factory-aligned, and protective films are applied.

Step 3: Clean Extraction of Old Sashes

On installation day, our certified fitting crew carefully removes the old wooden glass shutters, hinges, and iron fasteners using reciprocating oscillating saws. If the outer wooden frame is anchored into masonry, our team makes relief cuts to collapse the frame inward without damaging adjacent POP plaster or exterior paint.

Step 4: Mechanical Fastening with Anchor Bolts

The new UPVC frame is leveled in the aperture using non-corrosive shims and laser levels. Heavy-duty galvanized steel expansion anchor fasteners (minimum 100mm to 130mm long) are driven through the internal reinforcement into the solid brick masonry at 600mm intervals, ensuring rock-solid hurricane wind resistance.

Step 5: Waterproof Silicone Perimeter Sealing & Cleanup

The perimeter gap around the window is filled with high-expansion polyurethane (PU) foam for acoustic insulation, followed by a neat, continuous bead of Dow Corning weather-grade silicone sealant. Sashes are hung, rollers adjusted for featherlight glide, and protective films peeled. The entire room is swept and vacuumed clean—all in just 2 to 4 hours per window opening!

Can You Replace Windows While Living in the Home?

Absolutely! Over 85% of our replacement projects are carried out in fully occupied homes. Our teams replace one room at a time, laying protective drop cloths over your furniture and cleaning up before moving to the next room. There is zero disruption to your daily routine.
