Why should I choose UPVC windows over traditional wood or aluminium?
UPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride) does not warp, rot, rust, or corrode. Unlike wooden frames that require periodic painting and are susceptible to termite damage, UPVC is virtually maintenance-free. It provides superior thermal insulation (keeping rooms cooler in summer) and cuts outside noise by up to 40dB when paired with double-glazed glass.
Are UPVC windows soundproof and dustproof?
Yes! KST UPVC windows use multi-chamber internal hollow profiles combined with heavy-duty EPDM rubber gaskets that create an airtight perimeter seal when locked. When configured with Double Glazed Units (DGU, e.g. 5mm glass + 12mm air gap + 5mm glass), they attenuate street noise by up to 35-40 decibels and completely stop dust infiltration.
Is glass railing safe for balconies and young children?
Absolutely. We exclusively use Grade-1 certified Toughened Safety Glass (12mm to 19mm) or Laminated Toughened Glass. This glass is 5 times stronger than regular window glass and resists severe human impact and high wind pressure. If accidentally broken under extreme force, it shatters into dull, blunt granular pieces that do not cause deep cuts.
What grade of stainless steel do you use for outdoor railings?
For outdoor railings exposed to rain and humidity, we exclusively utilize SS 304 or marine-grade SS 316 fittings and spigots. These grades are immune to rust, peeling, and corrosion even in humid environments, ensuring your balcony railing looks pristine for decades.
